How to move drive cog without removing axle

So I had posted about this problem a few years ago as the outward drive cog migrates on the axle out toward the transmission. This makes it almost impossible to drain the gearcase. In my case the cog was actually binding into the chain case leaving no room to shim it from the center. I created a video of how I used a couple pieces of threaded rod to make a puller between cogs and pulled it back.
