I would run 1.325s(woodys length) if I ran another 1 inch sneaker....I used to run 1.175s woodys for yrs on all my 1" tracks and they did OK, but nowadays I think if I did have another 1" id go 1.325 for sure.Dan, how far above the lugs do you like the studs? I've decided to run the 1 inch next year with studs, and I have 1.375's. These are about 1/2 past the lugs.
Too long?
My 1.450s when new showed 9/16 over the lug, i did not think it would be that much but it was. Sure works pretty good. But also need to be thoughtful with your right thumb.
Im thinking I will go with less Qty next time around....but do worry about the 1.450 length if I only go with 2/per bar. Now im avg of 3/bar with a 2/4/2 pattern. For now things are staying as is on my sled.

Wrong the outside studs allow you to turn with out letting off the throttle
Your miss informed studding the center is only good for going in a staight line no good for trail riding
You are 100% incorrect.....
Either you typed it wrong, or you have it completely backwords....not sure which.
-Outer band studding will ALWAYS PUSH MORE and need MORE carbide on skis.
-UP the middle studding will ALWAYS TURN BETTER and need LESS Carbide on skis.

If you plan on studding , ensure you run a track.
