Wich mods do you Get most hp from, not interested in turbo/SC

As i have read at this site

The aaen ex gives you 9hp, is that like 5real hp?

Whats the diffrence in PC3 and PC5? Most hp?

Best airbox mod?

Just fill in other mods that give more hp and i will fill it in under this topic.

Have read most of the other topics about it but it's to much BS to pic out the best mod at each thing.

Things like Stock sound or not is not so important but can be added :)

Add on stuff is ok but you can really get some seat of the pants feel from clutching, gearing. With the right gearing, secondary helix and primary weights you can really get some solid gains. I have an MTX and put a YVX secondary on at the end of the year and all I can say is wow with the adjustability and helix selections available. This year I plan on adding a roller to the secondary and primary arms from supreme tool or heel clickers. Yamaha left alot out there in performance on our Phazers good luck.

LoL why do everyone think that a nytro is like a phazer with more hp??? :o| a nytro is just a fat pig compared to the phazer... ;):D

Amen brother a boat you have to throttle hard to carve with. Rode a Nytro MTX 153" and hated it the flickability is just not there like the Phazer. Clutching, clutching, clutching you would be amazed at the result unless your climbing to the Summit somewhere.

What is a roller in the secondary?
tks

A roller secondary is where the helix slides and rotates on rollers instead of plastic buttons. This is a device that bolts onto a YVX clutch with some machining. The roller secondaries upshift and backshift very quickly for better performance with less resistance. Some people say with the bigger 4 strokes it's not as critical due to bigger power plants but with the Phazer every bit helps. Clutching & gearing is where the best gains can be found for the money.

Example of this is and exhaust, air intake and fuel module would run $800.00 and you may feel a bit of difference. With gearing, primary arms, primary spring, YVX secondary and different secondary rollers for that same money it would feel incredibly different. The only thing is you have to know something about clutching to be able to setup your machine to your riding style, weight and so forth. The kits bought for clutching are a close general setup and work good like Ulmers and others. But there is way more to be had on this machine and other sleds .

Thanks for the explanation and pics. So what is the price range for the roller secondary? I changed the secondary helix in mine to the Schmidt Bros helix and found an improvement and even just cleaning the secondary was good so I can see how this would be even better.

I love my fat pig and most women do love the Phazer. lol :moon:
By the way UP Bushman, are you running a stock Helix? Also forgot to mention that your belt looks pretty low in the sheaves..

Hey canoehead I am running a 51/43 helix and the belt height is they old belt not the updated belt that is a 1/16" wider. I will be putting the new style belt on before the season. Someone may say that is a tall helix for this sled but belt slip is not an issue with power being less. So belt force is not critical like the higher HP sleds wear belt slip occurs. I'll tell you when I stumbled onto this setup it is wicked quick and pulls unbelievable.

51/43 isn't too tall for that style secondary, that's the one I ran on my SX600R and that put out only 98hp. the 51/43 worked well on most of the 2 stroke triple sleds. I think a 48/42 was popular on the 500/600 twins. I've been looking into a roller secondary of some kind to help with the back shift. I just don't like the backshift of my phazer when going from hard pack to deep snow as I loose about 800rpm in powder.
