Damn Doc, you got one before I did! I'll be trying one on a 2019 SRX that's setup on C16 (PEFI header, larger intercooler, 3" PEFI straight pipe, wastegate locked, PEFI Intake with custom outside hook intake, Hypersports ECU, 1050 injectors, fuel pump & regulator upgrade, etc, etc, etc) at 32 lbs boost and then I'll try one on a 2025 SRX with PEFI Stage 3R setup (PEFI intake, fuel system upgrade, Sandale 2-1/2" muffler) as well.
How did the Dyno session go? How much additional power was gained?

At some point this week I'll get to run both sleds. Will post when I do.

The chance of a slight power upgrade part is like a intoxicating drug to use Sidewinder guys eh?

You will cut appx 6" off the left end of #43 and replace with hurricane part.So # 46 is no longer needed? That is what is causing turbulence? Ho hard is this to install. Anything else needs to be removed to get this tube out? I wonder if its worth it for a 240SS tune...
Srxspec will have Dyno numbers by the end of the week.
Stay tuned...

Does the 3 into 1 throttle body tube need to be removed? Or can it be done in place you think?

No, just remove the two nuts on the steering shaft, this will give you the extra room you'll need to slide the factory turbo intake tube out, and give her a twist.

It seems like all of this is just to eliminate #46. Can this just be done with an insert into the existing intake tube? Number 8 looks like the same problem, just on the other end of that inlet tube.

Actually, the inlet coming out of the air box is a much cleaner approach. I believe this is capable of showing some amount of improved efficiency. I guess we'll find out how much later in the weekIt seems like all of this is just to eliminate #46. Can this just be done with an insert into the existing intake tube? Transition from airbox outlet via #8 is a much better blend from one diameter to the other without big gap between them. There's a legitimate step in transition into turbo on other end.

I haven’t tried Dave’s piece yet but I can tell you from talking with Glen Hall a few years back when hypersports started with their Promod asphalt sled, he said on their dyno just changing out the factory coupling on the turbo to the tube was a 3hp gain. Pulling out the water pump and running an electric is also lol. I’ll be trying Dave’s piece on mine.

My reservation is you can't feel 5-10hp on the but dyno. So unless your racing not sure its worth it...

You can probably get that much *effective* HP back on the average tuned sled by simply keeping the drivetrain in good maintenance. Loss through the multiple translations from crankshaft to lugs on snow is losing way more power than you can ever get back with a small mod like this.
