Hyfax......how many miles have got on a set?

I went 2400 miles on my stock set. They probably would have lasted a little longer, but the last ride was in horrible conditions.

1000mi on the stockers, but when I changed to my 1.75 track I noticed significantly shorter lifespan from there- it was expected though. Hiperfax and scratchers have fixed the issue.

I have 800ish on my 1st set. they wore allmost right to the lines in 200 miles & have not even moved a mm in the last 600 miles.

Same here 1800 last year on the stock set, so far 1200 on this years set. They must have to heat cycle after the first few hundred miles becasue they go quick then stay in the same place for the rest of the year. I also have been running my track a little too loose and have been getting some ratcheting, once I tightened it up I am expecting a little less this year.

1760 so far, wore down to the line quickly but haven't moved since.

Well these are some pretty impressive reports! Makes me wonder if some people were maybe changing them a bit premature figuring they would continue to wear that fast!! Mine are looking really good with 1100km on them!

1650...and they never moved...went 7 to 10 ks and stopped to put snow on them and let them cool..did this the first 50 ks..and they never wore..my buddy told me to do this..he works at a tire company..and they volcaniz the rubber...and he said it would do the same to the slides...i think he was right...didnt do it to the wifes and they too wore a bit before they stopped...hyperfax and scratchers...love them :-o

I just put new ones on after burning the first set in 400 miles. After 230 miles in the UP last weekend they are already down to the wear line. I am going to take everyones advice and wait till after this next weekend to see what happens. Has anyone tried the new slicker ones advertised in the accessories catalog? Just trying to figure out if there is better ones out there or this is the norm

It is all about the snow conditions...I guess most people had not too many days with dry, hardpack conditions. So far, I have only had soft powder trails, but I know what will happen when I put my setup (Back Country 1.75" and not too many idler wheels) on dry hardpack...
