I'm wondering if any one has tried the hygear dual rate Springs on the qs3 front shocks .?2016 Ltd LE.
Never have but they should work well. I rode a cat with qs3 a lot last year and although the shocks worked very well both owner of sled and I agreed my Evols were plusher in little stuff when tuned for the big stuff. The qs3's were needing the clicker adjusted when the conditions varied. That spring setup would make them work better over a bigger range without adjusting. Being picky though. The qs3 works darn good stock.

Ya! My thoughts also. I did soften up the first stage of the valve stack and tighten the third stage gap on mine this summer in hopes of getting a better range of terrain out of them. My front end used to blow through the travel and bottom hard on the second setting in some situations ! These may be the answer
Nice. If you have had them apart then you understand how the 3 stage clicker works. 1 and 2 are very close in flow 3 is totally restricted and at that point actual shock valving is all that is at play. Was thinking about drilling 3. Then again was one really rough day of trails where 3 was what it took to have fun! Never thought 3 would be used on those qs3's but it was that day.Ya! I was thinking the 3rd position just restricts flow to the resi thus slowing the oil from the shaft volume during compression? Kind of avoiding the valve stacks job. Maybe I'm wrong. Either way I've had great results on my sx viper suspension to the point that it was better than the new viper. So I'm gonna experiment!

I'm documenting all my valve stacks so should be easy to duplicate if I get it right!
Yes. That's what I meant above. But when rezzy is closed off you are using the valve stack more not less.I was thinking the 3rd position just restricts flow to the resi thus slowing the oil from the shaft volume during compression?
