Ok the last time I got throttle thumb was when I had my 96 Mach Z.
One thing I can say about the Rev was that I never got throttle thumb.
Is this Apex gonna kill my thumb 1st couple of times out?
Or will it be easy to throttle up ?
Just something that came to mind this week and I meant to ask.

I didn't notice any difference in the Yamaha sleds I've owned. A friend of mine put on the Goldfinger left throttle and uses that from time to time.

I read a comparison article in the latest issue of American Snowmobiler and it said the ATTAK had the lightest throttle pull of the four manufacturer's sleds.

only the other big 3 manufactures are going to have thumb strain problems..

From hitch hiking when there sleds break down.. LOL

I have had throttle thumb on my Viper and once on my RX-1. The throttle mechanism has a screw at the back that you can slightly loosen, then adjust the throttle position on the handlebars to best fit your hand. The stock Viper position was too high for my hand. I lowered it a little and throttle thumb fatigue was gone. Some thing on the RX-1.

I was at my dealer the other day, They had a 800 REV (carbed) aside of an Apex ER, I compared the pull and i would agree with TT670, 1/2 of the pull on the Apex and twice as smooth. Push twice as hard on the Doo and get half as much. kviper

Apexaholic, You'll notice that the throttle on the skidoos are a little larger ( gap between the handle bar and the end of the throttle. I have short thumbs and fingers and find it more difficult on longer slower rides. On faster rides, it's not an issue as the throttle is closer to the bar. Arctic Cat's throttles are even larger than skidoos. Not sure about Polaris, never ridden one.
