Cat was experimenting with a "kit" like this in ~ 1978 , and a dealer friend of mine actually had one. A 6000 tigre could go like 100 mph on pavement with no sweat at all. There was one liitle problem though ---------- Brakes. You couldn't stop the damn thing.
