I have an 03 and 05 and can tell you set up correctly I lay waste to everyone. Whether drag racing or blowing through the tight twisties the balance between handling and power can out run my sx 700, srx 700 and my buddies Viper (which he sold last year and set up an 05 like mine)
If you want to run fast:
Junk the skis - I run simmons on both - the duel runners are on the inside and outside edge of the ski, even with a little lft in the corner your forcing the outside carbide to bite.
13mm sway bar upgrade is a must -will help control lift but needs help from the shocks and the rear limiter strap to all but eliminate the lift.
Ohlin clicker shocks on the front allow you to control the bound of the shock and the coil overs allow you to dial in load depending on your weight. You can also st the shock stiffer with a few clicks if trails are smooth and back off if thee junk. (most people don't realize that rough trail conditions feedback through your arms more than your butt) I have been on a 1 ton in 3' whoopdies when my buddies were begging to stop and they don't bother me at all. With the stock shocks I never could drive through the bad stuff and spent more time trying to stay on top of the sled.
Final item the rear skid (both have mono-shocks)- pull the strap down to 4th holes from the top, adjust the spring for your weight (set in) and set control rod on min. Wasn't sure what year RX you got but if you riding an expert X under it you may have to full with the rear end a bit.
If you balance the front and rear you won't believe what you got. I rode over 5000 miles this year with several consecutive 400+ mile days and never get sore and I am far from in shape.
By the way hows the weather there ? I am originally from Hershey, PA
Good Luck
