I mounted Pilot 5.7 W/ Slydog Nytro Rubbers last week on 09 Nytro Std. I have a couple of questions on them. I had to kinda pry the pilot ski on and is really tight and the ski bows out a little. I used the yamaha stock bolt and spacers. Do I need to cut the spacers down or is it ok to run them like it is? also on the Slydog rubbers I mounted the tall side forward. Is that Right? I rode the sled and it was alot better than stock skis on groomed trails. I am now going to play with my front strap. What hole is everyone with pilots using?
 

When I tried the Pilots, I think I removed the spacers from the inside and mounted them back on the inside.
 
You need to take out one spacer and push in from the outside. I them on mine and its like getting a new sled, its so much better. I have an 8 inch bar in the middle and a 4 inch on the outside. I did not change the straps, I do have a 136 inch track, which also makes a big improvement.
 
Ok, I played with my front strap. I had it set in hole # 3 (2 holes up from stock) when I had stock skis on. I left it the same when I put on the pilots. It stuck allot better in the corners than stock skis and was a little easier to turn but still a little harder than I thought I wanted it to be. So I dropped the strap back down to stock and It turns easier ( I like it) although it does not stick as well as it did prior which I understand it won’t but still is not too bad. But now it wants to dart. I want to try to leave the front strap alone, though I may pull it up 1 hole to see what that will do. Are there other adjustments I could make to get what I want? I want my Nytro to be relatively decent to turn and stick good in corners but I don’t like to pull my front strap up any further than I have too. Also I read here you can adjust the rear strap. my rear strap is all the way down. I think that is stock but not sure. I have my front skid shock spring loose also. Thank you all for your Input.
 
most seem to be liking one hole down on the rear strap...makes the sled stay a little more balanced going into turns.

are the ski tips a bit when sled is lifted ?......lift the front bumper until the skis are of the ground, the tips should be up slightly compared to level. Tip down can make for heavy steering and hunting.

If my rear strap is already down moving it up won't help put weight on the front will it?

Not sure what you meant about ski tips. I am not sure if tips are up or down.

Thank you. I will have to take a look at them when I head up to my cabin this weekend. I used the slydog ski rubbers and was not sure if tall side of rubber went toward the front or back. someone posted here and said tall side goes too the rear. I put the tall side to the front. That could be causing the darting. Do you agree?
Also am I right on the rear strap?
