'10 VECTOR LTX
Can someone explane in simple terms how, springs , weights, rivets, rollers and gears and r.p.m.'s work together....
Here is what i have . On a e.fi vector ltx, I see the belt is only coming 5/8 to 3/4 inch to the top of the primary clutch. On My Apex the belt runs about 1/4 to 5/16 to the top.
The sled runs 104 on the dream-O-meter @8500 rpm. all stock, no studs, Gears are 24/39
I'am trying to squeeze out all that sled can give (on the cheep) , been asking around all summer and have heard; springs, rivets, gears.

I saw on a dyno sheet of this motor, 8500 is on the back side of the power curve.

REAL CONFUSED,
H.E.L.P.

Look under the Engine and Clutching forum. Topic Clutching for Dummies.

Second entry , AAen clutching handbook download!!

Great reading

Olav Aaen's clutch tuning handbook. But, if you've got a stock motor & clutch, check for new; & correct belt; how many miles on clutches & lastly check center to center & offset. These Yami's come very well clutched. Alot of miles can wear parts down & change rpm's...
