Which 136" pre studded track would be best for my 08 Apex LTX? Using aggressive snowtrackers as well
I really like the way Camoplast Ice Ripper XT hooks up.
1.25 lug with ,I think is 16 scratch lines and 240 molded in studs.NOT like a nailed track ! Works for me with where I go 90% of the time . Stops good , hooks up good and all the studs are still intact . Will buy another in the future forsure !!

Get in touch with Bruce at Tracks USA. He'll hook you up with the right track for your sled and riding style.

Whats the difference between the ripper and attack? Both are the same price at #*$&@ performance. They seem to have the best prices in Canada

I ran an Ice Attak XT on my previous LTX GT and was very happy with it so I just installed one on my new XTX. It really hooks up for both acceleration and braking. Royal Distributing had a great price right now for the 144' at CDN$939. The Attak XT is based on the Ripsaw II and the Ripper is based on the original Ripsaw.
Attack lug 1.22. Ripper lug 1.25

Did you check knapp Yamaha in Prescott , Ontario for track prices? He advertises on kijiji. He had lot better prices when I got my sons track, saved almost $100 compared to royal, free shipping as well.

I second that. The Ice Ripper XT is just a pre studded version of the original Ripsaw. I had one on my 2 stroke Viper and thought it sucked compared the the previous Predator I had. Last year I chucked the 136 Ripsaw on my '07 Attak for a Ripsaw II and its worlds better. I just don't care for the original Ripsaw so that means the same for the Ice Ripper XT. I saw an Ice Attak in Michigan last year and it looks like it would do better in varying snow conditions. The Ripsaw/Ice Ripeer XT tracks IMHO are only good for hardpack.I run ICE ATTAK XT and really like it.

It lists the Attack XT at 1.22" lug. Is that ok with stock protectors? Thanks for the tip on Knapps Yamaha. I'll check them out

Stock track is 1.25", so I'd say you are ok. Some people have stuffed 1.5" without removing but it's tight.

Does for the area I ride in the UP of Michigan where there is mostly lake effect sugar snow. I tried one on a demo sled up there, worked great. I had the Ice Ripper XT on my old machine and yeh it did have a bit more control in icy corners but it hooked up worse than my previous Predator. (121) As said the XT is based off the Ripsaw which we call the RipJunk. Glad I got rid of my Ripsaw last year on my Attak.Wow , you say it sucks ! In icy conditions I'm sure there the same . Pre-studded .
