ice ripper track

have you had any experience with these? i do not want to worry about launching a stud though a heat exchanger but want some traction on icy corners for wifes 2006 apex. she ride about 2000 miles a year so they have to last. has anybody used the ice ripper?

I love mine. I am on my third year with no problems and it does exactly what you are looking for (i.e. a lot of traction without throwing one of those extra-long studs through the hxer or ripping up the track.)
