It’s does not pull the top speed like before but easily gets into the triple digits. I was looking more for traction in the UP trail snow and holds speed better. How's the top end?I just hate the track spin with 1.25 rip2,my other sled has studs and it does no better on the trails..I just want this sled.to hook up on the trails..just not sure between storm and hurricane.

I tried the Hurricane and it lasted roughly 2000 miles with Igrips. I dont know if it was the track durability or the fact that I used igrips, but lost tons of lugs and track was finished after 2000 miles. Contrary to my original 1.75 backcountry which had 10000 miles and no lugs missing. I didnt change my riding style and snow conditons were similar.
I'm on a Ripsaw2 1.5 now with traditional studs.

Can it lift the skis on demand compare to 1.25?It’s does not pull the top speed like before but easily gets into the triple digits. I was looking more for traction in the UP trail snow and holds speed better.

I spend a lot of time at higher speeds, 80mph plus. I was pleasantly surprised that the 1.5 didnt really give up any traction compared to the 1.75 and a bit less vibration at speed. I was always a bit nervous holding the 1.75 at over 100mph for extended periods. So why did you go down to 1.5

That’s where I’m at. Been rethinking things. I just want it to hold up.I spend a lot of time at higher speeds, 80mph plus.
