2008 Yamaha Nytrol RTX 40th Anniversary
I have a rather odd question I realize. I was this past weekend replacing my ignition switch. My question or problem is this. Since the time that I disconnected the switch the sled end of the ignition switch wiring fell down somewhere into the engine. So I am wondering this is a 2008 Yamaha Nitro RTX 40th Anniversary edition sled. If anyone knows where the sled end of the ignition switch wiring comes from? If I know where it comes from maybe I can figure out where sled end of the ignition switch dropped down to if I know where it is coming from.

It cant fall that far, its not very long. Its on the right by the radiator.

By the radiator meaning the cap side of the radiator? That is what I assumed also. I thought it came up that side, and spent several hours this past weekend looking in that spot. Ok I will look again tonight I have a friend coming over this evening who is pretty knowledgeable about sleds to look. Thank you for the response.

Well if its disconnected it should be right there below the key place or it fell down by the throttle bodies.

Yes it is disconnected. So where is the sled side wiring coming from or even what side is routed up or by? My initial question is if I can figure where it is routed then look in that area. The funny thing is is the wiring is pretty secure so it didn't seem possible as far as for the wires to move that far.

You pull the hood and both side panels and you basically can see everything. The harness comes up on the right side from the battery and goes over the gas tank to feed the throttle bodies and 12 V acc. down the clutch frame and feed into the CDI in the nose. On the battery side will go down to the nose to the to the relays in the nose cone and also t off and feed the lights, hand & thumb warmers. You really cant miss it.

I was able to find the connection. It was hanging down behind the battery area. So thank you so much for all of your assistance and photos I really appreciate it !!
