Sorry guys...but im a classic yamaha guy...give me white with red...with tuning forks on the seat, and hood.
Saw a couple 1973 yamis today (sm 292, and gp 246)..the red and white looked great. I liked my 1980 black and gold srx...but would have traded it in a second for a white and red 77..lol...nothing against blue guys...but for me yamaha was always white, with red....with TUNING FORKS, and red in the seat...good stuff.

That would have been a nice touch with my 40th, wish Yamaha had of done that.

Was at the dealer today and the apex looks so much better than the nytro. Get rid of the 4-wheeler plastic look!!! In person I really like the new apex blue but they are a bit boring concerning the graphics. I think it would be very popular to offer multiple graphic and paint options inspring from mild to wild to personalize. Bring back the torch red and white or black, red and white like the canadian srx.

I love the graphics on my 07 RTX... 07 and 08 RTX had by far the best "over the top" from yamaha. seems they did this style for a short time and stopped. I've had so many comments on them.... and when i say they are stock yamaha they look at me like i have 2 heads....

Voted kinda boring..... i like the colours but they have no real umppph! if u know what i mean...... I loved the orange phazer but it needs more details then just colours, and no/better stickers, they get torn up immediately.
Tunnel painted would be really cool and, atleast I, get the feeling that they look alot lighter when u dont have the metal showing

When comparing with other brands, Yamaha has nothing special to offer. Im not a big fan of the 'all white' Cat's but I do give them 2 thumbs up for thinking outside the box and giving their customer's something interesting and different in the lineup.

The thing that bothers me the most especially with the RX and Apexes is the black/grey plastic side shields. I have always wanted to try and match the side plastics and nose of the apex to the blue that is on the hood and tank cover. I owned a 98 srx and loved the entire blue sled with white graphics. See attached photoshop.

Yamaha sleds all look good. BNG are NOT going to get me to buy a new sled. I need to see a light 4s clean sheet 140-150 hp sled that does everything well. If it does not show up soon Doo or Cat will get a serious look & bye bye Attak.

Looked at the '12 Venture Lite and it hasn't changed at all since my '07. Something has to be done with the ugly black and grey side panels (same with the Phazer). And the arms and bumpers are always silver painted. Matching powder coated colours on these to prevent rust would be a definite advantage. For the Phazer, since they are supposed to be "ridden like they were stolen", should have some graphic treatments available right out of the factory.
So my vote was boring.

Bring back the Vintage white/red combo. I love that combo on my 90' Phazer II! And a TRUE yamaha blue would be great also, Loved the way my SX-R looked with the blue belly plastics and metallic Yami pearl blue hood!

Well said. Sled colors are not the question Yamaha should be asking its customers. They are a great looking sled no mater what color scheme, now lighten them up a bit and put on some decent skis.

One thing I did like that Poloris offered on their entry level sleds. You bought it plain black, and had the option of whatever decal kit fit your liking.
Of course, with the wrap technology out today, I would think dealers could learn to do a wrap as well, or offer the wrap as a kit for home installation. It's not rocket science.
Just like some were offered a push turbo, we could be offered a wrap of our choice. Pre-orders in the spring may be offered choices that others cannot get in the fall.
Good solid base colors like Yamaha Blue, Black and red will never go out of style. As we can see by the responses, you will never please everyone. So rotating them year to year pleases the masses.
Thanks again for asking.

Too much black plastic just like every other mfg. I've spent $1000 painting black plastic on 1 Apex and 2 Nytro's. They look pretty average from the factory but when you paint all the plastic they look pretty damn sweet no matter what color your taste might be. Slapping 40 stickers over the plastic doesn't cut it either in my opinion.

I remember the good ol days when working on my Exciter or Vmax where you would pull off the nicely "painted" side panels. The attention to detail and paint quality was second to none in the 80s and 90s and still noticeable for the ones still around. Today we have allot or maybe a bit to much plain black plastics covered with limited decals and actual paint is sometimes nowhere to be seen such as the Nytro. Its not that I don't like the new colour schemes, but when going to a snowmobile show, you quickly find out how well painted the other OEMs are especially the Polaris sleds. Yamaha quality is still there, but paints and finishing touches have taken a turn from the competition IMO.
I'm all customized with a new wrap on my Nytro so that will keep me happy for now.

Painted body panels are a must, no molded in color like Nytro and phazer. I like the painted tunnels better than raw aluminum. Graphics as of late have been kind of ho hum IMO. I think Victory motorcycles have have great colors and graphics that appear to be painted not stickers. With the price we payfor sled maybe we should get that treatment.
