I have Geico and pay $320 a yearfor an 07 Apex GT. It is right through Geico, I cancel in the spring and sign up again in the winter, so it's really about $200.

DUDE , I just called them and they said NO they don't write for snowmobiles!!!!! I'm currently awaiting a call from a broker on several places to get a quote. What number do you call ? I tried the ATV/Cycle number and they said NO

OK, just got quoted and signed up for insurance on my attak today.... total sled insurance for 05 vector and 07 attak $243/yr for both... liberty mutual.... i know i get a good discount for being a wayne state university grad and MSA Member.... but i was like WOW!!! even the lady on the phone said that seems low... oh well..... i also carry all my homeowners and auto thru them as well.

im paying $435.00 for full coverage on a 2005 rx war through td insurance here in on. axa quoted me over $800.00 for this sled and they have my 2 older sleds and p/u.

I know geico does not do it directly but you call them and then they transfer you and the people i talked to was ACORD or Foremost both names are on there and their direct number is 1-888-395-1200 hope this helps.
It might be so cheap becuase we never get snow, I had a beater sled for 5 years put at least 1000 miles per year then i bought a new one and it has not snown since, I only have 400 miles on this puppy been bad sledding years, maybe the insurance gods felt sorry for us in buffalo?

I just got a quote from State Farm today for my new Apex ER. $319 for the year, full coverage with $500 deductible. I also have house, cars, motorcycle, and other sleds insured with them also.
i have wisconsin mutual and i pay $200.00 per year for full coverage.i have 4 sled on coverage and will be adding another for my new sled is in.

I live in NH and they do sleds directly here. The number I call is 800-841-3000 and go to customer service. Half of them don't nnow anything but ask to speak to a supervisor and no problems. I stated $320 in the post above but the real price is $302

State Farm will insure just your sleds with no cars or home. 06 Nytro costs me $250 for full coverage with $500 deductable & 100000/300000 limits. I had $2500 claim on my 05 Warrior in Jan 05 and the rates were basically the same (mid $200s) for the two years I had it. The accident didn't cause an increase.

Well........seeing that I'm in the insurance business......I'll give you my thoughts.
Regarding the increase at your renewal with Allied Ins. I would guess that Allied has not had very good experience with snowmobiles for the past few years, and this is why they increased...... JUST their snowmobile rates. It had nothing to do with you directly.
I've been in the insurance business since 1982 here in Northeast Michigan......and yes....the laws & such make it tough on insurance companies trying to be profitable.
My advice to the Michigan snowmobilers would be........get insurance through a reputable Independent Agent........AND STAY THERE!! This lk childish talk about calling your agent and telling him you are cancelling your policy just to rub it in is silly. Do you think your agent has nothing better to do all day long than re-quote EVERY renewal?? Our agency alone has approx. 6,000 clients........and we're considered a small agency!! Give your agent a break......when your premiums seem too high....set up an appointment and let your agent check with his other companies.....he WILL try like hell to save you money!!
Now for companies in Michigan.........it's hard to say. With all the "group" discounts....."multi-policy" discounts, your age & driving record.......you need to get with your AGENT.....let him quote you with the company that has the best coverage and rate at that given time. That's what your Independent Agent is there for..........to help you save money! I have my autos, home, boat & sled insured with Auto-Owners Ins. Co.
If you're still having problems.........or unable to find an agency that will help you........shoot me an e-mail!! Hell......I'll write all you Michigan riders!! LOL!!!

I have allstate. 06apexrtx & trailer 248.00 06vector gt 204.00,01 polaris xcsp 142.00 sounds like alot of you are getting over changed. but been with allstate 20 yrs, no claims& good driving record. try adding your wife name to the sled if she has better driving record,that could bring it down. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!
