Anyone have anything else on the 2014 Apex SS? traditional under exhaust poo! I can't stop obsessing about this i just want to ride as oppose to be on the forum all the time! LOL I hope Sandy brings 3 ft of snow here in Cornwall as it did for North Carolina!
First I have heard of an Apex SS. Would be cool if they did it right. It has my attention.

Now for the guessing rumors lol I've heard v Max, and venom to date. Is there a particular sled name you guys want to see brought back for nostalgic reasons? The v-max 3 with the option of a v-max H.O./SS for the boosted option would be cool. Being they used the sacred SRX name on a 120.

I dont care what they call it I just hope its a light mountain sled with a apex motor in it...otherwise im gonna hafta listen to all my friends give me grief about owning 2 polaris products when I buy a RMK....ugh...never thought the day would come when I would own polaris over yami but I own a RZR now and next year I may own a RMK....
Never say never. I never thought I would go back to Doo, but it happened today. I would love to see the Exciter come back. A 160 hp lightweight four stroke {under 520 pounds} that handles and rides good out of the box. Why they named a kids sled SRX is beyond me. Talk about going backwards. These are our new sleds for the next few winters. If Yammie has something we want when the winter of 15/16 rolls around we'll be back. Until then It is Doo time.

I believe those are rights to "trademark" names. In other words, they own the viper and venom names still. Interesting seeing how they haven't made either one of those in about 6 years.

It takes a lot to bring back a name that had success in the past. When the Polaris Rush came out I said that the hood reminded me of the Indy chassis. Couple years and now the name has returned. The Phazer was a huge seller back in the 80's and 90's, no question they brought it back on the right sled as well. To bring back the SRX name, they would have to have A sled with big HP, ultimate handling and no question about Yamaha's reliability. The Vmax name is used on other products such as Outboards and motorcycle's so there is a chance it could be revived in the snowmobile world.
V-Max would be cool as well. I have owned a 86 Phazer and 87 Exciter. Both were great sleds in their day. My Phazer was all but full mod and nothing could touch it in the twisties. My Exciter was a former FIII sled and railed. Good times.

The fact that they still own Venom and Viper doesn't mean a whole lot to me. If for nothing else they do it to protect names they've used in the past..
