Hi silver,i used to have pioneers adjustable rods in my 03 and loved them,it was so easy to adjust on trail side, but i have not seen anyone come out w/the spring loaded type or anykind for that matter yet, have you?? as i would like to install one on mine too.. Now after adjusting my rod several times, and now having some deep fluffy snow, wow it collects snow big time under there and keeps freezing up hard, making it diffucult to get both nuts free and doing the work needed,do you think if someone did make some kind of adjustable nut it would be as easy to work as the ones pioneer made for the rx1s ?????Silver said:Yes these sleds are very different then the old style chassis. After a few rides you get use to it.I agree soften the front and adjust the transfer rods for trail riding.I ride with my transfer rods backed off 2 lines from stock setting less trasfer.I have also found the sled still gets great traction at this setting.Get a set of hand adjust nuts and play with the setting when trail riding go from max to min and trust me you will see a huge difference.

- None, looking now!
okay, boys. I set the psi to 65, (With the sled on the ground) the transfer is set at MED. The front end lowered very nicely. The A-arms are now level. This sled ate everything up last night. I rode the same trail as I did the other night when I got smoked in the twisties. Totally differant sled. Thank you all for the advice. I'm not going to remove any studs and I liked the 10" bite under the skis too. This sled really corners now. I still had to lean into them a little bit but that is okay. Seems boring to just sit there and not move around. Yep, it sure is going to be a great winter.

Total Rookie set up................just kidding but seriously, more isn't always more as far as traction products go. 144 and 6-8 inches is usually plenty for precise, aggressive control. More than that is usually a handful one way or another. Sounds like you're on the right track tho. Alot of the rags talked about correct set up on the Floats being critical. I think they are a good product but sensitive to perfect set up. Good luck ![Rockon  ](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/rockon.gif)
