I'm tinking of using å Ulmer 136" kit, but it would be realy nice to have a 1.75" track instead of the 1.5". Is this possible without relocating the slide frame?

Do i have to chance the settings in the transmission when i change to a longer track?

I have a 1,75" track on mine. You need to remove the tunnelprotectors, both on the radiator and in the tunnel.

- is 1,75" = 44 mm, in that case I have understood that you only have to remove the protectors on the radiator? Would be nice to know since I´m also thinking of ordering a 1,75 track and no slip wheels of course.

Can you run an 1.5" track with Studs and have clearance, without removing the protectors?

No, I have a 1.5 with no studs and had to remove the protectors.

There is only 1/4 of clearance between the 1 1/4 lug and the exchanger protectors.

Also, I wouldn't recommend running studs without the protectors.

The protectors are welded to the front heat exchanger so if you are to remove them it is fairly permanent unless you can weld aluminum.

Less permanent options are to reduce the size of the drivers or notch the track. If you plan to stud you do not want to remove the protectors.

I'm running a 1.5 Intense. I didn't change my drivers. If you look at 08Nytro RTX's post from back in October you can see where he measured the clearance between the 1.25 lug and the protectors. There was exactly 1/4 of an inch. The 1.5 would fit, but it would rub the protectors.

1.75" is 44mm. You really need to remove the protectors in the tunnel. When my dealer installed my track and drivers, they grinded the protectors down to about 5mm thick in the front. Track still rubbed them and left marks in the luggs. Just remove them, UNLESS you are planning to stud yor track.

Agree. Max lug height is 34-35 mm, anything higher will touch the heat exchanger stud protectors. The Intense will for sure not fit, do not know about the Ripsaw.

My dealer is running the Intense on his RTX with the front protectors still in place, but I heard him say he was going to remove them. I still recommend they be removed to prevent tearing the track apart unnecessarily.

Then i just have to find my grinder ;)!

Can i use a 16" wide track?

I can't find a 136"x1,75"x15" track... Anyone has links?

- Don´t know where in Norway you can find that but there are alot to chose from in Sweden.
Try http://www.stenmarksmaskin.se , Just chose "Tillbehör/ Delar snöskoter" and then klick on "Drivband" and 38x345. They have alot to chose from. My frinds rides ski doo with Bombardiers original track 136"x1,75"x15" and they just love this track.
