I have the ulmer racing k&n high flow air kit on my 15 sr viper and can get the mbrp trail can for 100 from my buddy thats selling his sled.
DOES IT HAVE TO BE REMAPPED!
I dont have the money or knowledge on these programmers, will it be ok with air kit and can or should I just pass on the can since I cant afford the programmer? Or if remap is needed should I put can on and sell air kit? Really would love to have both!
Thanks

You dont have to .. but if you dont get a good map for the amount of air you are tossing at it, it will not gain you all the power it could make.

Do any of these 3 upgrades void warranty? without the map can it hurt anything in the engine?

Well ulmer responded to my message and said I dont have to but I wouldnt see all the potential hp and it wouldn't hurt anything so I guess im going for it.

I think you need it, you be way to lean with both.
Not according to the guy from Hurricane performance........I e-mailed them months ago when I was considering their complete exhaust and he told me they actually use the PCV to REMOVE fuel from the map because the stock setting was on the rich side..........they do this to try to gain maximum hp........

Get the can for a hundred and do The mapping over summer can would normally run 3 to 4 hundred so your saving half the price of power commander or other tuner . Ulmer should be able to help with mapping just my 2 cents

Can new 262 shipped, I really dont want to program it because it screws your warranty doesnt it?

I only had 1 year warranty so was not an issue for me your intake mod might fool with warranty depending on what was the issue.

True my programmer for turbo is plug and play easily switched back but if not comfortable with it this sled has real nice down low power stock

Ok I figured you can change it back to stock but I wasn't sure because I have no idea how these programmers work I honestly wouldn't even know where to start and wouldnt know what to do with it if I got one thats why I was trying to avoid it and money is a little tight now.

I understand sledding is fun but not cheap my power commander was setup from hurricane performance and I would not know how to change anything with it if I wanted to good luck and happy sledding

I keep reading about these autotune devices, would that work better since it accommodates to your exact sled and where can you find a good one at?
