Is the snowmobiling seasons over? I have been riding for 50 years and the snow is getting less each year. The 2024 season was almost non-existent in the Michigan UP this year. I think I got 650 miles over three weekends this season, my lowest in years. Will it be better this upcoming season, the same or none. I know it is hard to guess, but the last few seasons has been pretty bad! Do I buy a newer sled, or keep what I have and see what happens. The million dollar question........

This question is sure to stir up a heated debate. I believe the snow patterns are cyclical and we are sure to get some good snow in the coming winters. However, the trend is definitely showing lower and lower snow accumulations everywhere on this great planet. Snowmobiling is a dying sport because of this.

Snow is cyclical, but have had to cancel several trips the last few years. I have a very flexible work schedule and 8 weeks of vacation, but man it was a very sad winter this year in the UP of Michigan.
Last year was terrible but year before actually had more snow than most. Problem is it’s melting in between storms. Just have to go when it’s there. Tough to plan anything. Still worth it though!

Oh don't get me wrong, snowmobiling is my number 1 activity no matter what the weather is. I can dress for it and keep on sledding!Last year was terrible but year before actually had more snow than most. Problem is it’s melting in between storms. Just have to go when it’s there. More miles on the yxz this summer than on sleds last winter. Winter will come again with fierce blizzards soon!

Winters lately seem to follow the precipitation amount we get in spring/summer. So if this spring/summer is an indicator for the upcoming snow season, get your sled and wallet ready because there will be a LOT of gas run through your sled with all the snow we could get if the snow follows the spring/summer rain amounts! Is the snowmobiling seasons over? Seems the same here in the northeast. The few decent snowfalls were quickly followed by warm spells or rain. Gotta drop everything, call in sick and get out there at the drop of a hat. Here's some suggestions to use at your own risk...Last year was terrible but year before actually had more snow than most. Problem is it’s melting in between storms. Just have to go when it’s there. 1. I just put a casserole in the oven.
2. My plastic surgery for enhancement purpose needed some 'tweaking' to get it just right.
3. I was sitting in the bathroom when my feet and legs fell asleep, and when I stood up, I fell and broke my ankle.
4. I was at the casino all weekend and still had money left to play with on Monday morning.
5. I woke up in a good mood and didn't want to ruin it.
6. I had a 'lucky night' and didn't know where I was.
7. I got stuck in the blood pressure machine at the grocery store and couldn't get out.
8. I had a gall stone I wanted to heal holistically.
9. I caught my uniform on fire by putting it in the microwave to dry.
10. I accidentally got on a plane.
