Something got caught in rear bogies of my Attack & stripped 130MM wheel. So replaced 130MM wheel no problem & then noticed pinky fingernail size rubber shaved off axle 178MM guide wheel maybe .125" deep. Bad wheel is on BOLT side of axle. Rubber seemed hard but temp was single digits.

A.Is there is an easy way to replace BOLT side 178MM guide wheel without dropping suspension & pulling axle & then rethreading back thru all wheels?

B. Should I just wait for Spring Service when I retire sled for season & replace hyfax. I'll be riding about 1000 addtional UPMI trail miles in remote areas at higher speeds.

Is this high risk?
Is there an easy way to fix wheel that I'm missing?

If you are referring to the real axle wheel then just loosen your track pretty much all the way. The very back two nuts (14mm). You will have enough play to easily change out the wheel without removing the suspension..

That is what I thought but dealer said no suspension has to come out & 2 man job to thread all the wheels & bushings back thru the axle. So since I have not done this I thought best to ask before I have mess of pieces in the snow.

After 1400 mile trip in Quebec I greassed all my wheels today. Just lossen off the track and the back wheels will come out. Less than 1/2 hour to grease and reinstall back wheels by myself.

You need to find a new dealer because this one is screwing with you and doesn't care much about honesty and trust...

Just a tip, I get the sled up on the lift and put a two by four on my floor jack about the length of the skid and jack it up under the track to hold the slack in the track up so it is easier to keep the slack in the back around the wheel's otherwise the slack is fighting against you due to sag. kviper
