issue, conflicted

But before you go off and change out your suspension, realize this; your stock suspension is made mostly of STEEL. You can get it welded and reinforced for VERY CHEAP.

I like the Boivin's suspension design (rode a doo with the ski doo branded arm suspension...same thing almost), but I love the ride, transfer and speed of the monoshock. I say reinforce it, revalve it for your weight, no offense, but a few pounds of well placed metal can do wonders..what's a few more pounds on these things? We've been able to keep some of the old w arms going for thousands of miles with occasional welds and gussets, and some of these have really been beat to death.
But the only aftermarket suspension worthwhile IMO is the Boivin. I think my mono rides better than a buds M10...

Yes, there was an issue with the presupplied loctite on the bolts of the ZX-2. If one read their bulletin or any of the hundreds of threads on this subject, I think you will come to the conclusion that the issue has been solved. The trick is to clean every bolt and threaded hole with a tap and die, spray off male and female threads with a brake cleaner, air dry with compressed air if available, and re-assemble with a good RED loctite. Once I did this, I have not had any more issues. I had two sheared bolts as well, They loosen up a little, allowing the bolt to "bounce" and shear off. Once again, after doing what I mentioned above, no more problems.

Haha I didnt mean to start a battle lol, just lookin for somenfeedback cause I'm very interested in the zx2 skid I've been for a while I like the minimal maintnence factor and I also like the look and I've heard the angle is better for powder (not super deep stuff I don't ride in those conditions anyway) do all the bolts on the skid need to be hit with the locktite or only certain one cause problems?

No battle started. I hope you looked at some of my posts and reviews. A lot of information there from myself and others. To summarize a lot of my posts, yes, I am very happy with the ZX-2 and would highly recommend it. I have see the expert X unted a sled with a 450lb man on it, and it has held up. That is a testimony in itself.

If it were me, I would do every bolt in the ZX-2, as I have had revolver, cross shaft, and axle bolts all loosen up on me. Still, it is a great skid. I am pushing 290lbs suited up and I love the fact that I am not bottoming out continuously anymore. Not the smoothest in the stutter bumps, but I haven't played with it much yet either.

Read my posts in in the aftermarket suspension section. There are a bunch of other great posts there I used to research before I bought. Hopefully they will help you out as well.

I am getting ready to install an M-10 W2 Air - not sure what track length you are going to run, but you might want to consider the Airwave from Team Fast as well.

I have been running the M-10 Airwave for 3 yrs now and am extremely impressed. From studders to those big holes on the other side of road approaches, this skid just soaks it all up w/o any harsh bottoming or kickback. The top speed loss has been overblown, I hit 103mph on my stock 600IQ just the other day.

The owner of this site (MrSled) has also been running an Airwave on one of his sleds this season so maybe try PMing him for his opinion?
