17 SW RTX.... For the life of me I can’t figure out how this thing comes out! Am I missing something? I’m trying to change bearings and seals in my case and this thing has had me stumped for 2 days now. All clips and retainers have been removed.
If I’m reading the posts correctly I have to remove the clutch side support plate and it should come through the chain case and shaft comes out from clutch side?

The manual specs that the mounting bracket on the clutch side to be removed (torx bolts) and the bearing be pressed off. That’s a lot of work.

I would heat up the bearing housing on the clutch side and gently drive it out from the chain case side.

The shaft should slide through the chaincase bearing - and take out the bearing with it on the clutch side. There are videos in you tube.

Don’t hammer directly on the shaft or it will mushroomed. .

Best is to used an aluminium block to pound on it!

Yes I was able to get the bracket with the bearing to release from the clutch side. I then took a heat gun and heated the aluminum bracket enough that the bearing released. I used a large socket to drive the bearing off the shaft, slipping the socket all the way from the chain side down to the clutch side bearing.
Removing the case bearings I used the heat gun to heat around the bearing, then two large 90 degree picks on opposite sides of the bearing, pulled out on the bearings and they popped right out.
