Will you be disappointed? NO.....
Like tstewartfn14 said might get cold hands, yamaheaters will fix that,
Slider wear is another big complain, but hasn't been for me riding in Ontario
If you have the stock skis on that might be a problem with darting, but can be fixed,
Your going to be even more excited when you ride your sled...Have Fun...

Depends on how you ride. 90% sure you wont be disappointed but if you like slot car handling like the 600 that is gone, you will have to get used to riding the tank like its your girfriend keeping the skies down. Also the engine braking will be hard for you to get used to at first it takes a good 500miles or more till then hold on tight in all situations.
If your over 220lbs and ride aggressive the seat will be too soft, a RTX seat or MTX seat will fit right on and has stiffer foam.
Suspension is superb compared to what your used to, even if there are some high mileage durability issues.
If your over 6' tall a 2" bar risor would help you out.
You WILL fall in love with the engine, its sound is intoxicating and the power is such a rush! Prepare for sore shoulders.
I reccomend you play with the GYTRs on the front go from full soft to full hard so you know the range of adjustment. They are a good shock.
Check the wire routing on the rear EC shock and add a ton of thick sip ties to it so it doesn't rip out of the solenoid.
If your over 220 lbs think about a big boy spring and shock revalve but try it first.
Have fun. Stock they are great, modded there is nothing like these sleds on the trails today.

Krawler, Congrats on the upgrade to an Apex. I too am a new owner of an Apex, '06 GT. The darting is noticeable, but I am use to a 660 raptor darting through the trails, so I didn't notice it much.
The four stroke will have noticeable engine braking on off throttle. Use it to your advantage, don't complain about it. Plus the Apex's tend to run hot. Don't idle to long, but yours should have the rear cooler mine doesn't have yet. Power is plentiful. Have fun!! Can't wait to get back to the trails this weekend.
