Wow that was fun! I just put close to 100kl.that is after my heat cycles, (half a thank of benching 0 to 7-8000rpm.)about 15 kl. My track is studded 1.325 woodys in the middle and I have clipped all around(opened closed windows)Funny feeling for the first ride compare to my 03 rx1,but one thing is sure, be darn careful with the rear end.Even studded the sled has more front end weight and the traction on ice is minimal. The lake was mostly covered by about two inches of snow with some drifts.Boy that motor is smmmooth... Fantastic throttle I have the medium height shield (like Mr.Sled)and the Powermad wind deflectors and at 5' 11" it is perfect.Did some short WO runs and the tach is pretty mutch were the H.P. at 10,000 .I know that once well broken in it should rev higher.Temp. was at -8 C.

That is great that you like your sled.
How are the snow conditions up there? I would like to plan a trip Dec. 10th. We do not have to ride far.....just want to take the edge off. Are you supposed to get the mild spell next week?

As of this week,we had very cold nights -20C plus wind factor -29C so a lot of lakes are pretty good but we did not get the snow storms that the Saguenay region got (over 11/2 feet of snow.) But as far as railway beds it should be ok in a couple of weeks.I was talking to my riding budy a few minutes ago and we will be testing on saturday with his new 06 1000 gade with a15 " 1.25" ripsaw track that he changed. He did also stud the middle only with 1.325 woodys but like I said very poor traction on ice. They barely exceed the paddles. Hopefully the snow will pack tonight and tomorrow and we should be able to test. Oh! by the way I will bring my camera and post some pictures Saturday.

I'm going to try my GT in the morning. We got about 8" inches of snow right now and it has stopped and it's -16 right now, but 7 degrees for Monday and Tuesday with rain.

How many studs did you put on the track Dynama. I bought 144 and haven't decided yet if they will all go in the middle or the normal staggered pattern all the way across. I changed my skis to the simmons and hope it doesn't push the way some say it does. Cheers to a great season. I'm holding off til we get some real snow.

I've put 96 1.325" in the middle in two V paterns that gives the maximum lines for increase traction.I 've studded my sled since 1988.But the only problem is not the amount of studs but how mutch the exceed the paddles. It is not quite enough, but that is the lenght that's recommended.
