Semi synthetic can get pretty black and still be up to par. Chain case I’d run a few laps with it and maybe change it again.

For the warmers, they can take a while of steady riding for them to get up to temp. They are operated by the ECU via PWM and if the RPM drops, so does the PWM. This video shows what I mean (Nytro works the same way):

So whenever you stop and let it idle, they are getting minimal power. Very stupid design. I spray foamed the inside of the bars and it helped a bit. If it really bothers you, there is a vendor here that sells the Yamaheater which puts out full 12V all the time when it's set to 0. Drawback is that if you don't want heat, you set it to the lowest so you are still getting a bit of heat. I don't have it but people swear by it.

My dealer gave me the ground block update mod for free and it took about an hour all in all to replace the original ground block. On wifes 08 Phazer the idle adjuster is under the air box cover and is a 8" cable with a thumb wheel clipped to the inside.
