I was just wondering if anyone has had the same problem.
I went to go for a tour and after trailering for 2 hours, finally ready to unload. Go to start machine and the key would not go in. Ok I thought use lock deicer. After 30 Minutes they key goes in but won't turn. Another 2 hours and 2 bottles of deicer it still will not turn. Trip cancelled.
Following day I try and ignition still will not turn.
End result is new ignition at cost of 85 dollars.
I had a 'key won't turn' situation that is worth sharing. I bought the sled in January and rode the whole first season and never once took the key out of the ignition until I hung it up in May. The next November I grab a key off the wall and it won't turn. Went and got the other key and it worked. Turned out my spare key wasn't really my spare at all because the dealer had given me the key from another sled.
Now my second key is hidden somewhere on my sled and I haven't seen it for a year so obviously it is really well hidden.
Blue is just over two years/8500kms now. No significant issues and I'd buy another again tomorrow if it were stolen or crashed. I really should post a second year review for anyone considering an MP. It has been a great machine for me but I have been able to embrace the models quirks.
