So our 03 had been pretty much a flawless performer. Recently it started having issues. Intermittent electrical ignition cut out. Stop for gas, lunch whatever go to start the sled and nothing...dead. fiddle with the Red Button for a while maybe give the whole assembly a slight turn and she fires right up. This has happened multiple times with no pattern. The last time it happened got her started and heading back she started to backfire (like the ignition was cutting in and out with fuel still being provided) then died and has been dead since. No power to the ignition. Anybody ever had this type of issue?

yup. it happened to me on my 05 rx war after i broke the kill switch button off. it let water into the switch and it would only occur later in the ride as it would be frozen until the bars heated it up enough for it to melt and short out the switch killing the sled. replaced the button and remover the water and no problems since.

The beast is back up and running strong. Bad wire in the key switch.
