I had the sandale 3” on my sled for I ride I found it very load even with ear plugs. Sled pulled like a raped ape compared to the 2.5 hurricane trail I had on it. I think it was called the heartbreaker. If you think the Vinny Fab muffler is too loud, then anything over stock is too loud. The Vinny Fab is not much louder than the 2.5" Hurricane trail muffler at all at WFO. Its the quietest 3" muffler out there and in fact quieter at an idle than the 2.5" trail muffler believe it or not. There are many 2.5" mufflers out there that are much louder than the 3" Vinny Fab. I hate loud and would never have it on my sled if it was.
I'm betting it wasn't a real Vinny Fab muffler if you are saying this. The Sandale 3" is however loud and looks similar with the Magnaflow muffler stamping on it. It has a shorter muffler body by quite a bit. TD makes one now too that looks like the Vinny Fab, but I have no idea on that one what's inside the muffler. They all have Magnaflow mufflers but sound quite different. My buds Sandale 3" is really too loud and obnoxious IMO, I couldn't ride with that muffler on my sled.

I’ve run the 3” Sandale trail muffler for 5 seasons now I have no problem with the noise level , I don’t wear any earplugs either. My buddy has the same muffler and I don’t notice any difference with his. Maybe some are louder than othersI had the sandale 3” on my sled for I ride I found it very load even with ear plugs. The 3 inch sandale Heartbreaker lasted a couple rides on mine then was sold. Way too loud.
Running TD 3 inch SQ. It is not as loud with no drone so far. Its by no means a super quiet.

A guy approached me this morning on this TD super cooler with damage. $500. Wondering if I should pick it up and get it repaired for future use. Thoughts?

I don't believe that cooler is made for trail use as it hangs down very far and of course needs more supporting hardware to go with it. Looks like someone tried to ride it on the trail and found out the hard way it wasn't designed for trail use....
Picture of it on a machine. Maybe if you don't ride it in normal snowmobile fashion it would be OK? I do believe it's made more for a racing application however. For sure you don't want to be busting drifts with it!

Pinnin' it!
No, trim work. It's what we like to call " plug & play"
It can be swapped out in less than an hour, providing you don't drop a bumper bolt down into the bumper. My bad.
He had enough material to build two, maybe three more, from what I saw.
So, you can have it by Jan. (That's up to him, not me)
So this is a custom intercooler made by Vinnyfab by request? Not something they stock?

If you call him and tell him you need a sidewinder intercooler, he's got a jig set up and will fabricate. the intercooler goes in without any modifications and it's absolutely flawless.
I think an acquaintance of mine could be buying one of them.
Told him, about a week.

How thick is that intercooler looks like around 3 inch?

Yes I would expect the heartbreaker to be louder than the 3” trail version with the magnaflow mufflerThe 3 inch sandale Heartbreaker lasted a couple rides on mine then was sold. Way too loud.

The TD intercooler certainly hangs down lower but not below the front of the sled/ lower A arm mounts. If your hitting the intercooler your hitting the front of your sled likely. There may be better intercoolers suited for trail use but if you can get for a good price I would run it if you want one.KnappAttack, thanks for including pic. I had no idea.
