This is the Vinnyfab version. (Dated last month) All I have to say is Kyle's attention to detail is much better than most will supply you with.
Either will last you the lifetime of the sled.
As far as Ben & Dave....both have bigger fish to fry then sit here in the forum and answer questions. Most of which you guys know the answer to. Am I wrong?

My turbor is 4".Aren't all the front mounts basically a 3" core? I bet pefi & hurricane use more of a taller core and the tank angles cuz some of the fitment issues. In the end, it's just a little trim work. No biggie.

That'd have to be a bunch of trimming on the plastics, but I bet it cools nicely!

Well ... I've got zero miles on mine. But the first thing I'm going to do if it's too loud, is to turn up my earbuds. Haha.I just sold my exact muffler that thing is obnoxious way to load for my likings.

If you think the Vinny Fab muffler is too loud, then anything over stock is too loud. The Vinny Fab is not much louder than the 2.5" Hurricane trail muffler at all at WFO. Its the quietest 3" muffler out there and in fact quieter at an idle than the 2.5" trail muffler believe it or not. There are many 2.5" mufflers out there that are much louder than the 3" Vinny Fab. I hate loud and would never have it on my sled if it was.
I'm betting it wasn't a real Vinny Fab muffler if you are saying this. The Sandale 3" is however loud and looks similar with the Magnaflow muffler stamping on it. It has a shorter muffler body by quite a bit. TD makes one now too that looks like the Vinny Fab, but I have no idea on that one what's inside the muffler. They all have Magnaflow mufflers but sound quite different. My buds Sandale 3" is really too loud and obnoxious IMO, I couldn't ride with that muffler on my sled.

I bought aTD SQ 2.5" a few years ago, and it also has the SS MagnaFlow muffler and the same style bellows! Thing sure was pretty with a great SS shine to it. I covered it with stock shields/insulation etc. So are we saying I actually have a Vinneyfab? Just wondering..This is the Vinnyfab version. Looking at all the mounting brackets are they angled and well supported or do they look like a piece of flat stock that has a 90° bend in them? No disrespect meant. I have the later.

Flat stock for bottom bracket, and no top bracket, but I used top bracket off stock muffler! Wondering if these Magnaflow use packing or all metal baffles?I'm certainly not the guy to help with that.

The 2.5sq has always been made by Td as far as I know. The original 3” magnaflow td sold was sold and labeled as the “3” viney fab”. Kyle had kids and didnt want the big workload so he stopped making them in mass quanities and sticks to mostly local work and occassional other builds when people ask. These mufflers are packed and sound changes over time.Flat stock for bottom bracket, and no top bracket, but I used top bracket off stock muffler! My take on the viney muffler………
Beautiful craftsman ship that I have only seen matched by precision or sandale. Tone at wide open throttle is very similiar to the 2.5” SQ. Idle and low rpm cruise is definitely louder than the 2.5sq. My wife drove by a warden that had a sled pulled over and we had 2.5sq on that sled and he didnt wven acknowledge her. I creeped by and he turned his head and watched me go by. If he wouldnt of had anyone stopped, he would of stopped me. I ran pefi, 2.5sq and hurricane trail last year . 3” viney directly from kyle winter before. Those running the 3” superquiet, same exact muffler and sound as the viney muffler. Td doesnt do a nice job with the brackets as kyle. Does the job though.
Sandale uses shorter body magnaflows so they are louder in both 2.5 and 3” then the longer bodied magnaflows used by Td and viney

Good info. My TD SQ2.5” is not loud and the best part is No Drone at any rpms! Sounds like it will get louder though with age whereas it has packing! DamMy take on the viney muffler………
