You talking reverse? For reverse 42T, you can get it from Ulmer, but it requires modifying the reverse idler gear on a lathe.
The reverse gears are expensive (about 150). It might be cheaper to get an 18 tooth top and a new chain. Might be better getting a new chain if your sled is older anyways.
I hope this helps.
I does. great!
The new chain and the smaller top gear is at the same price as the lower one. But the stress-level on the even smaller top gear is big so if you got a turbo or something its better to go for the larger bottom gear.
How do i modify the reverse idler gear on a lathe ?

If you go to a turbo I cant see you wanting any lower than 20-40 with th insane track speed. A normal hillclimb that im running 45 with my stocker you would be pulling 80 plus on a turbo and thats about all you can get with a 20-40 so I dont know why you would want less gear. IMO stocker 19-40 is as low as I would go and 20-40 on a turbo.

2010 SE's are running 18/40. 19/42 is a popular ratio in other mountain sleds. At least 2.2 ratio in the chaincase has been proven to work well. The lower ratio helps to compensate for turbo lag as well.

Yes i got a turbo.
The norwegian standard on the 162 SE is 22/40 , im now down to 21/40 with the stock 70 chain. Now the chain is a bit long so i want an 42T down.
When i use http://www.turboaddictionparts.com/cata ... lator.html with 8900 rpm and 0.9 in overdrive i get 139mph at 22/40. Its insainly high gearing. I guess with the turbo i would like an max gearing to be at 105mph. Over that the maveric junk would die i guess.

You'd be better off getting a 20T top for next to nothing off someone, and shortening your chain to 68L or buy a 68 L. Bottom gears for reverse chaincases are expensive.

My calculation was off. Got it right now. At 9000 rpm 7 tooth 0.9 overdrive.
22/40 is 109mph 21/40 is 104mph.
21/42 is 99mph , that sounds about right for an 162" turbo, or what?
20/40 is also 99mph. So either new chain and 20T gear or just a 42T.
