So I went on my last ride, wanting to enjoy mid March riding in Quebec with daylight savings time. Lots of snow and great trails in the Lanaudierre region. We were informed of a demo ride and fundraising event at Le Cabanon, a popular snowmobile destination on Lac Stanilas. Maybe 20o sleds, great time, and if course bench racing and Lake running. After watching several races and talking to some fellow sidewinder owners, off I went. 1st a hopped up doo 850 XRS and several other 850s and Polaris 800's on a rudimentary 1/8 mile track. As you can imagine great result. The hopped up doo kept trying but no contest. A turbo doo 1200 with245 hp, No contest. Several Artic Cat 9000s and a T Cat. Closer but still good. A sidewinder se 137, finally got me bad, but I found a small 150 pounder I trusted to be my racer (since I am a fat arse) and weighed 100lbs more than the other guy, and was able to take him....three times. That's with a 129. Feeling awesome. Then, like the old saying goes, someone shows up with a better mouse trap. Another RTX Le with an awesome 10 map set up. Sled was polished and mint. You know that guy. Well, no contest. But if I was going to get whooped, another winder was all good. Just having fun here, but truly, I never expected this sled to be so hooked. Lots of fun and great local guys there. Met new friends. Great cookout on the Lake. The way it's supposed to be.

Must of ran 15 plus wot runs with no belt issues. Then we decided to go for a ride and did a 100 mile loop where I took in what a great all around machine this is. You know that last ride on crisp sunny day just enjoying the sport, Lake racing one minute, switch backs the next, ending with fast long sweepers. Perfect.

With this site and great vendors and members I was able to tweek and address some clutch issues. Not quite there as I would like to get more than miles out of my belt. But, just got the Hurricane alignment tool and will hopefully put final, touches on belt issues by making sure they are spot on, Anyone thinking of buying an sw, should. Just be patient and make some adjustments and you WILL love this machine. Great way to finish the season.....

Good to hear, what tune do you now have?

That’s awesome! So hard to let winter go when days like that are still in mind.

Steve our trails now are like they should have been in feb. but were not lol but with any luck,we will have another two weeks of riding here. Hey do you think you can revalve all 4 of my shocks next summer, and make all 3 settings softer?

Yes I can but I might have a better idea for you to try. I think if 1 is softer it would be too soft to point of being dangerous so I am working on making just 3 softer for those that never need 3.

Ya,i was hoping for that one,as it is just way to hard, but I still would like 2 a tad softer too,if it can be done, and at that time we can swap springs,to.
