I was wondering if anyone else has been told arrival of their new 05 RX-1 is delayed yet again.
I ordered my Red 05 RX-1 last spring and it was supposed to in my hands by mid October (dealer said probably late August).
At the end of August I was told is should be in in two weeks. During the second week of October I was told it was delayed and would be arriving on October 22nd. Friday (Oct 22nd) I called the dealer and was told the Red 05 RX-1's (only the red ones) are delayed once again. Now I'm told I should be getting my sled in mid November.
I wanted to go sledding in mid November!
I also called another (larger) dealer and they recieved all of their RX-1's about a month ago. What's the scoop? Anyone in the know?
Almost RX-1

Mine came in over a month and a half ago and my dealer is relatively new to Yamaha, they just added the line two years ago to go along with thier Polaris line.
They only had about 10 to 15 total pre-season Yammi orders this year so
I guess they would be considered small.
It may have more to do with how and when each dealer files the paperwork for the orders than the actual size of the dealer.

Sounds a little weird to me that all other RX-1's came in, but the red ones. One of my Mom's friends got his red one last month

Not sue about Canada but I'm in the US and have had mine in the garage for almost 2 months and yes it's red. Might want to check with other dealers in your area and see what they say about availability, it may be that your dealer is behind in payment and is being held up on their orders, has happened to some dealers in the states before. Just a thought. Good luck and you will like it when you get it.

You might want to call Yamaha direct and check on your dealer.

I just called a few other local dealers. None of them snow checked any RX-1's, except my dealer and the first one I called.
Yamaha Canada's customer service is "closed" until late in the day with some "big" meeting...I'm going to try them again later.

I bought my red one off the showroom floor 3 weeks ago.

My dealer has one sitting on his showroom floor. Im sure if your up for a drive they would love to sell ya the sled, but it doesn't seem right that everyone else in the US has taken shipment and your dealer hasn't. Good luck.

Thanks fxr, that's the same information my dealer is telling me.
One concern I have (as well as the obvious missing out on sledding) is all of my contractual paperwork states that in order to benifit from all of the snowcheck extras that I have to take posession by October 29th (0% financing, yamabucks, trail pass contribution, as well as referral program - both for myself and the guy who referred me). Nothing in it states that if Yamaha is late, dates are extended.
While writing this, I called customer service (and finally got through). The lady confirmed that there are a number of customers that have ordered 05 RX-1's that will be recieving them late in Canada. She said that Yamaha will extend all of the snow check deals.
Still nothing in writing yet (I asked my dealer for an e-mail).
Hopefully I will get my new toy in time to set it all up (install mirrors, storage stuff, saddle bags, etc.) before the snow starts calling.
