The little power plug with a cap on it in front of the oil tank turns on when the key is on.
Tap into or plug into that.

Wht if you already used that for the heated shield? Is there enough juice to power both?

Yes ... I use that power point for my LED hand guards and for the heated passenger grips when I use my 2-up seat.Wht if you already used that for the heated shield? Is there enough juice to power both?
