None, looking now!
What systems have you guys used and what feed back can you give? I have been looking at the Racepak models, and I do like them. Just curious what other systems have been used and the results.

I do use Innovate LM1 with aux box to datalog.

What channels are you using? ( e.i Oil pres, oil temp, etc. ) How does it hold up on the sled? You trail ride with that set up?

Jim,
Yeah, I was looking at model. I really like it also. Allot of channels I can run. Anything I can think of on my sled, I can log.

Sure wish I would have thought about this back when I first bought my gauges. I have over $1000.00 just in after market gauges alone. :o|

When the time comes, I may get with you on this system?

I log tps, rpm, 02 for the moment... have boost sensor but still not installed.... I don't log that often anyway....

I made a bracket in my seat trunk for the lm1, and I wrapped it into a plastic bag to prevent moisture. I run an xd16 gauge and I can start/stop datalogging remotely by pressing the button on the xd16 gauge. so far this setup has worked for me.

In my dual turboed RX1 buggy I am using a rugged tablet PC with interface capable of veiwing and recording the following for each motor 4 EGT's, Boost pressure, oil pressure, fuel pressure, WBO2, Tach, water temp, ambient temp. for referance. I will also be able to turn on the H2o/meth injection off of the boost and RPM. The software is setup bargraph style, when the bar is green (everything OK) yellow (that readout is marginal) Red (problem-jump from gps screen to gauges) I have a setup screen for setting the parameters and a graph screen for analizing, will record and playback or slide the bargraph to check all events at a given time. I am installing the system, but can't claim credit for the software as a friend has custom written it in Visial basic. -Ed

now we talk datalogging....

But not very applicable on a sled... (tablet pc at least)

data

i use race pak and love it
i have an xtra race pak and may install
on my bracket car
i use a computech on my promod with their dash
my buddy uses a rpm prodata logger
i dont know if they have a dash display yet
it was very resonable for a car system
the racepak is very moisture proof
ive washed my sled a lot and no problems
thank duane

Many of you will probably not recognize the name, but AIM Sports is a Italian company that makes very high quality data acquisition systems for Motorsports. I use model MXL PRO. I'm watching 16 channels including TIT, Turbin inlet temp, Water temp ,2 air temps in and out of intercooler, Innovate feeds in to it for Air/Fuel Ratio, Boost Pressure/vac, Fuel pressure, Battery Volt, Fuel Pump Voltage, Oil pressure, Belt Speed ft. per minute and both clutch RPM's allow it to calculate Belt Slip along with shift ratio's, and Exhaust Back Pressure. Have a sensor on the suspension to tell me where its's moving during the run. It also has a built-in GPS which with all the other info gives you track slip. Along with that it has 6 warning lights that can be programed to come on at any time or temp for any channel you would like. It also has 2 green 2 amber, and 2 red RPM lights that you can stage to light for clutch /engine RPM. You can watch on the dash display whatever you like, but as you all know when your in the throttle with a 300HP-400HP sled you don't have time to look any guages, so we download when we choose to. It will record up to 6 hours depending on the sample rates you program in it. Besides it's alot nicer looking at graphs rather than guages.
This is not something you will probably all run out and buy though , I've got about $5500.00 invested. I also use it on my engine dyno, it adds to my dyno info and data logging.
It's really NICE and wouldn't be without it now.

If you care to look at their full line of Data Acquisition Products. :flag:

what about the PowerCommander and the LCD screen, can just insert a SD card and record all kinds of stuff...

anyone playing with these at all? plus on screen tweaks dont need laptop etc.

mtdream, I have used the PCIII, Ignition Module, Wideband Commander, and LCD screen all in conjunction. They can provide you with datalogged engine rpm, throttle position, injector duty cycle, air/fuel ratio, MPH, boost pressure, etc. I have loaded as many as 20 different maps onto the LCD screen at once.

I just transfered my LCD onto my ZX14. Throughout the winter I logged lots of times with the LCD on the APEX.

Here's a quick pic of a logfile from my bike...
