Im looking to buy a light weight battery for my phazer, does any one on here have one installed and how does it work? How many cca is the stock battery? I see several batterys that are 200 to 300 cca that weigh 2.5 pounds I want to know if this will work.

Had a batcap 300 (2.5 lbs) installed in my nytro. It could only effectively start it when the sled was warm (no go in the morning). Also I was getting low voltage error codes. Didn't want to hurt my stator so I put the stocker back in. IMO the 2.5 pound batteries are racer only not real world.

I run the napa 6 lb battery. It is fine as long as the sled is run, if it sets for weeks it will drain. I bought one of the power sonic batteries, and even fully charged it wouldn't crank the motor. I had an oddesey in my viper, and that thing had juice, I am going to try one in the rx soon. Same 6 lb weight as the napa. Maxdlx

Doesn't seem worth the hassle to save a couple pounds. Stock battery is excellent.
