Can someone post a pic or location of where you amy have installed these?
Everything I have looked at seems to be in the way and im not real fond of drilling more holes
thanks
Jim

X2. I filled most holes with marginal wheel kit and extra excell wheels. Didn't think having scratchers farther back on the skid would be as effective.

Here you go. Hope you have better luck with yours my right side parted in the first 20 miles. They did warranty it and credited my card though.

I mounted mine in the same place but one scratcher keeps popping off the rail and dragging when I don't want it to. Have you run into that problem?

Same here on one of my sleds. It needed to be adjusted to stay hooked better.

But if it drags when is it not needed?

I'll try adjusting it some this year. I put them on at the end of the season last year and only got out a couple of times with them on. I know it doesn't hurt anything to drag when not needed. Was more of the fact it was kickin snow up onto the running boards and building up after a days ride

Here is what I did after the bad luck with the duraflex. I went with "Ice Storm" ski mounted scratchers. Pic with scratcher down and one pic with it on included mounts.

How do those work in reverse?

If you look at the pic with the scratcher off the holder you will notice a metal rudder looking object (scratcher) that can flip over for reverse and flip back for forward.

Thought I'd chime in as I'vee tried all of the mentioned scratchers on my 09 xtx w a 1.75 track. First I tried the steel rail mounted scratchers but couldnt fing a suitable place o my skid to mount them. I didnt feel like drilling more holes so I ended up mounting them on the inside of my ski bolts. They worked great except for the one time I forgot to raise them while in reverse and one got bent. No biggie though untill it got jarred in some tree roots and ripped completely off.
Then I tried the duraflex. Coulnt find a suitable spot w these either so atta hed them to my front end but couldnt find a spot to re-delpy them.
Finally went w rsi scratchers that bolt under running boards and hook up and in when not using. Easy to deply...but vibrate when down. But at least I know when they are lol. Provide very good cooling now!

Just so you know these mount on the inside of the ski and you have to drill holes in the ski to mount them. I drilled the spring mount about a 1/8" lower than the spring mount hole to put a little preload on the spring. I have read a lot of good reviews on these and decided to give them a try. All of the hardware to mount them comes with it. Also after drilling holes (measure twice drill once) I lifted the front off the ground and installed them as it is easier to line up bolts to spring mount without the preload.
