Right you are. I forgot to mention that. I did drill the holes in my skis. One for the shorter spring end of the scrat her, and one at the opposite end to allow a place for the scratcher to be re deployed when not in use. This system worked well for sure untill I forgot to put them back up while reversing my sled lol. But what really screwed them ip was when they caught some roots under low lying snow and snapped off. My fault....but it was along 10 hr ride home with no cooling in low trail conditions.

I see, so it looks like you used that existing hole which goes through the rail and that support plate? That's what I was thinking but am leery about size of bolt as the one for the scratcher seems smaller and I wasn't sure if that would oval out that hole

Yes you are correct I use that same hole. You have to get a longer bolts and use red Loctite and that whole diameters very close.
