None, looking now!
I'm studding my beast this year. Not sure what way to go. I currently have a 144 Expert X with a Camoplast 144 Crossover. ( 1.5" )

Should I trim the crossover down and clip the rest of the windows or just get a fully clipped 144 1.25 track?

What pattern of studs would you run for a 144" track with a blower at 10lbs? It will be a strong 10lbs as I plan to run Water/Methanol injection.

This is a 80% trail sled, 15% boondocker 5% racing.

I'd love to keep the 1.5" track and stud it but I'm not sure if that is possible.

Any input would be great

If you're thinking of getting a new track, get a 144x1" to stud. Keep the 1.5 for mid-season riding and those off trail fresh snow days. Of course this depends on how you feel about changing tracks a couple times a year.

I always thought I would do just that. Had a 1.5 on my phazer and studded the stock 1" track. I never changed back to the 1", but I don't have the length or weight of the attack.

I agree.
Vince i will help you with studding. If you plan to run the track on the trails once in a while use rotein hornets for maximum ice penatration(trail stud) other wise use chisels if you plan on running on ice only.

I got a 144x1.25 off of snowest reasonable, and studded it. You should be fine with a 1.25 studed if your 1.5 isn't hitting. Post over there, there are alot of switchback tracks for sale that where 1.25 x 144 tracks. Use the smaller big nuts for the 1.25 or the large big nuts for the 1.5, it really saves studs. Paul

LMAO...YEAH....LOL

Okay, so if I keep the 1.5", and stud a 1", I will have to put my tunnel protectors ( ice collection tubing ) back in, I will then have to notch the 1.5", will notching the track make any difference in performance?

I really do not feel like adding and pulling the protectors every time I change a track.

no you won't notice the notching.
I had a notched 2" track on my syretched vector.
You working nights yet?
I will give you a call sometime.

sounds good, Ryan.

Now, we just need to come up with a studd pattern that can also be used for chissels when on the ice?
