looking for rear aux cooler for attak 06

I'm running an 1.5" on my Attak. No studs and the protectors have been removed. Whats the chances that the track will bottom out on the larger protector ( 136" and 151" style) ?

I was up to my dealer today to order a cooler however the two cooler listed earlier will not fit the attak with the tunnel protectors in place as far as I see. Without the protectors the track could bottom out on the cooler cause much damage. If anyone has a cooler installed I would like to see a picture.

Are you guys riding at 60+ or what? I've never had my Attak overheat while riding, just at long idle periods. Drained out about 40% of the anti-freeze and replaced with water to get the proper mix, and haven't had anymore problems. A couple of days ago it was about 0-5 above and I let it idle for about 30-45 min. then took it for a rip around the yard and never overheated. Last winter with the factory mix it wouldn't idle more than 10-15 min at -20 without shutting down.

I installed the rear cooler in my Attak last year cuz I was sick and tired of my sled overheating in temps above 28. Do yourself a favor and put one on.....just in case temps get above 30 or poor snow conditions. You don't want to be the only Yamaha in the bunch over heating!

You need to follow the directions that come with the "Larger" of the above 2 heat exchangers. The larger heat exchanger in the previous post is the one for the Attak/Warrior.

You will need to cut between 3 - 5 inches of your protector off! You will need to eye ball the protectors with the new exchanger and then cut.

Then you will need to enlarge just 1 of the 2 side holes in the tunnel to get the new exchanger to fit. Rivet in place.....put the hoses back on......add coolant back in and your done. Takes about 1 1/2 hours......make sure you have good powerful rivet gun!

My apex overheated the first day i rode it..

I duluted the anitfreez with some water and an additve called WATTERWETTER and it has never even kicked on the fan again..

waldo1, those are the same part numbers as what is used or will work on the RX series and RS series.

i never had a problem last year and there were times i was in minimal snow light never came on.but i decicded to drain the fliud this year and put in 50/50 mix.i honestly think it was straight anti-freeze.
