Just wanted to post an update for everyone. Again, greatly appreciate all the responses! I tried checking the tolerances on the clutch, the chain tensioner, and the track tension (dealership that did the work suggested that). Took the Viper to the UP last week and first ride out, it did it again - slid to a stop, turned the sled off, started it back up, & took right off. The next day, same thing occurred with the same resolution. Tried to stop at the local Yamaha dealership for a quick look, but it was going to be a minimum of 1 hour BEFORE he could look. Instead of waiting, rode on (didn't want to hold up the guys I was with). Thankfully, after 728 miles, only happened twice and all is good . . . . so far. Going to see what turns up going thru the sled this summer as my season, sadly, is done. Thanks!
