I've been thinking about the bad dead spot from low beam to hi bean and started probing the plugs on the harness and relay to find a simple way to keep the low beam on with the hi beam as it is in a lot of street bikes, my buddys V-star being one of them. Turns out you can just bridge the red and white wire in the headlight switch housing and low beam stays on constantly and only hi-res gets switched. Tried it behind my shop tonight and it's awesome!

Just be curious how long the bulbs last and the bulb housing. Not knocking you one bit for trying! Wondering if our headlamp housings can handle the extra heat? Or am I just over thinking....

I'll find out! Apparently some models of skidoo run this way. Got to be cooler than a street bike in the summer. Usually switch to low beam near roads or when oncoming traffic anyway

Yeah that's true! Maybe I'll do this as well and give it a go. Would be a lot better in the forests at night!

I'm definitely going to try my this I have led bulbs on the way so the extra heat or power will not be an issue.

Yesterday we did the low beam mod on my buddy's nytro xtx. Works good just a little harder to do ! Had to jump it at the relay between blue and green. Green being low beam.

In the viper it's right behind the hi beam switch in the housing on the bars! In the nytro it's the third relay from the front
