I really dont see myself headed to the mountains anytime sooon; but is worth buying a turbo for low land riding. Does anyone ride a turbo Nytro xtx on low land? What are you seeing for top end? Reliablility issues?

I don't have a turbo, but I do have a supercharger. The boost is great in the mountains, but more fun at sea level. Most of our riding at home is on the trails. There is nothing like coming out of a corner with your skis off of the ground until you let off the gas. That much power is a blast on the trails. If you do get off trail and play, it's that much more fun. I will never look back. Could never own another sled without boost. I can't tell you about turbos, but the s/c does not have reliability issues. Turbo is much easier to add boost to. Do a lot of reading on this site and you will figure out what to do. I read for 2 years and it was all good reading. Everyone here will tell you the good and bad.

I run at sea level 100% of the time. Once you've ridden a turbo sled you'll never look back. To kurtasaurus80 point, it is awesome...
Reliability is up to you, boost/hp vs octane vs compression.. Many threads on here to educate you on what and what not to do.. Your sled can be very reliable as long as you adhear to the boost rules!!
Top end speed all depends on your gearing and boost. I currently have more of a trail set up, 24 tooth top gear @ 9lbs boost which gives me a top end of 125-130mph give or take depending on conditions.
There are many Nytro turbo kits available out there, its all about preference and customer support which is key..

Turbo at sealevel 350HP, works great, it's a custom setup.
Turbokits from Powder Lites, MCXpress, Simons CPR will all work well at sealevel.

Over 800 miles on my 2012 nytro xtx with the mcx 180 kit and I love it. Boost is definitely addicting. Thinking maybe 240 next year. Lol.
Over 6000km on mine. -08RTX, MCX270, Streched to 144"
All at sea level.
Agree with all above, after a turbo you never look back.
Having a hard time pasing 200km/h (on gps) But close enough fore me.
Must be 300 and some studs holding me back at that speeds

I will agree with everone above, once you have had boost you will never be with out it. I have S/C, have friends with turbo's. Not really much difference. S/C is a little more responsive, but they are really very close. Just depends on which is the best deal and where you can get the best support from. I would say the fuel management systems are the most important thing to consider. Which is easiest to dial in. I've run on the trail for years as sea-level with no problems. It really helps when going out west to the steep and deep. Go for the boost you will never look back!!!!

Thinking of gettting the mpi stage 1 s/c for my nytro xtx, what are people getting for fuel mileage. Easy trail riding and running them hard.

What did you end up running for gearing for sea level? I will be installing MCX 270 on my XTX and looking for opinions on gearing.
