My buddy's sled is an 03 RX1. He is having issues with no power, backfiring, dim headlight and the speedo cluster stopped working. It's got new plugs in it and the TORS is disabled. I'm guessing that it's a bad ground. Any ideas where, or which one I should be looking at? I tried a couple searches to no avail. Thanks in advance for any help. The sled is 2 hours away from me, so I'm diagnosing blind until I can get down to see it.

'Borrowed' a statement from another....
"ok. on the older rx sleds there was a spot in the nose where it would rub under the glove box/beer holder in the nose. it would rub through on one of the front bumper braces the right side. i covered the hole in the brace on mine with a slit peice of rubber gas line using silicone to hold it in place where the harness comes through it."
sounds like a ground issue.... or a battery/charging system with >10Volts!

Ok. I'll pass this along and have him check. Thanks for the response.'Borrowed' a statement from another....

Have him check that his coils are clicking on plugs and firing properly. Had this problem this year and it was 2 bad coils.

sounds like its not starting, so that would be the cluster issue, must be running. The first thing i'd do is;

I'd guess electrical system doesn't have 12+ volts it needs. I'd start with battery. Could just be bad connection. Try jumping to another battery and see if it clears up.
