I made a post earlier on this topic and didnt get a whole lot of responses. I went out again last week for really what is only my second decent ride on my first Yammi 4 stroke. Rode three days in Houghton and last week rode three days in Gaylord. Both trips on several different types of conditions, (Loose pack trails, hard pack, and on the lake) I was only able to get about 90 MPH GPS as a top speed on my machine. The speedo would show about 103-105 tops and it was reving about 10,000 to 10,200 RPMS. The searches I have done this seems to be about the right RPM but others are seeing a lot more top speed on these sleds. Had my GPS on all week and 90.1 was the max speed ever reached. The only thing I could think of was my dealer did a service this year and replaced hyfaxes. If the track was to tight would that cause this. Or am I misunderstanding about what kind of speed I should be getting out of my machine. 04 Warrior bone stock with 1000 miles on it. It had just under 500 when I got it this year.

i found that my sled and others would not pull good speeds at lower rpms like yours. clutched to 10500 then they woke up try the o/s/o primary spring and put three 5/16 lock washers under the helx mounting studs. i think you will be suprized at the speed incress. and perforemace incress as well.

Take johns advice. Hes got his movin. Place the washers behind the helix over the studs. This shims out the helix.

Ill try that but in the mean time isn't 90 mph WAY low for what my stock top speed should be?
