Hey all I have a lower ball joint (just one side for some reason) that has TONS of up/down play.

Is OEM what everyone is using? Not even sure, is there an alternative?

Thanks

Reason I ask is I just called my dealer... $100, for ONE lower ball joint, NOT including the retaining ring at the bottom of the ball!!

WTF?!?!

LOL apparently I already knew this! haha just one of those things that went on the back burner. Thanks Moose

I didn't look past the first post, LOL!

I'm seems like we really haven't had many balljoint questions recently, I wonder if there was a change along the lines. My 09' has 6000 miles on them with no slop yet BUT I shoot them up with a spray can of Lithium grease after every ride.

Have you looked at a price of a starter? its over $370, for something the size of a vitamin bottle. I can buy a starter for a semi for that much.

That's what's called a monopoly. Sure, you might be able to find a Kimpex starter (aka: Krapex) but for reliability, you have to get it from the dealer.

Well I called Royal, and Winners Circle.

BOTH out of stock. Winners Circle said they had a bunch, and a dealer CLEARED them right out! Hmmmnnn... Is it possible people would rather pay 30$ than 100$?

Guess I'm waiting til next year :o|

There's gotta be another retailer out there somewhere with them???

dunno. I called Recreation Supply and they actually stock them too, 38$, and same deal, out of stock.

I rarely hit a trail so one loose ball joint aint going to ruin what little riding we have left I suppose. Next year. If I remember... hahaha I might be asking questions all over again LOL
