lower ball joints

holy crap,my sled has 7000 miles better check them soon, actually the sled is in for the hard start update and they will check the ball joint at the same time

VL/MP owners should be checking these joints as noted above.

This is good advice because I just changed my skis and noticed a lot of slop in one lower ball joint and the dealer replaced it (~ 3900Km) and has another one on order for the other side. I don't know how long it had been like that but I'd say with the amount of movement it has been wearing for awhile. My sled had just been in for servicing and I was a little dismayed that this obvious slop was not picked up - they told me that they were only told to check the Nytros as they had bad ball joints?? But the VL has the exact same part?? But I can't complain as they were good to me and got it fixed up in short order for the weekend - and it gave me an excuse to have a nice ride to and from the dealer and try out my new skis.
Now I have to try and get the slop fixed in the steering as described by many others on here.
