Personally, I think anyone considering new skis is to avoid the Yamaha ones, period. Search for reviews on aftermarket skis and choose the ones that suit what you are looking for and you'll be much happier.

I find these skis pretty sick, but the big #*$&@ front on them makes me a bit worried about carving and handling in the deep pow.
So, can you trim down these skis?
Cut away a bit of the edges on the front of 'em...
If that's possible, I think I'll try a pair!

I'm pretty sure these are blow molded and because of that they are essentially hollow to some degree. That being the case, trimming would likely be a bad idea.
